Cosmetic Consultation Sydney
A cosmetic consultation with Dr Georgina Konrat (MBBS, FACCSM) is the first step on the AHPRA-regulated pathway to any cosmetic procedure, a clinical assessment at her Bondi Junction practice, not a sales appointment. Every consultation is conducted by Dr Konrat herself.
Book a ConsultationWhat Happens at Consultation
A current GP referral is required before your first appointment. The first consultation typically runs 45 to 60 minutes and covers the following, in order.
Medical History
Dr Konrat reviews your GP referral and takes a detailed medical history: past procedures, medications, allergies, and anaesthetic history.
Examination
A focused examination of the relevant area, conducted privately with an all-female clinical team. A chaperone or support person is welcome.
Options & Risks
The procedure options suited to your case, realistic risks, and expected recovery are explained in plain language, without outcome promises.
Written Quote
An itemised written quote covering practitioner, anaesthesia, and facility fees, provided to read during the cooling-off period.
What to Bring
Preparing these before your appointment helps the consultation run smoothly and gives Dr Konrat everything she needs to assess your case properly.
- GP referral dated within the last 12 months
- Photo ID (Medicare card, driver licence, or passport)
- A written list of current medications, including over-the-counter and herbal preparations
- Any relevant medical records, imaging, or pathology from recent assessments
- A written list of questions you want to cover
Two Consultations and a Cooling-Off Period
AHPRA requires at least two separate consultations with the doctor performing the procedure before any cosmetic surgery can be booked, with at least one held in person. No booking is made at the first consultation. Between the two appointments, you receive an itemised written quote and written procedure information to consider at home.
A mandatory seven-day cooling-off period applies between the second consultation and the booked surgery date. This is a regulatory safety measure, not an administrative delay. It exists so decisions about surgery are not made under time pressure. Choosing not to proceed, at any stage, is a normal and valid outcome.
For a step-by-step walk-through of the first appointment, see what to expect at a cosmetic consultation.
